It's My Last Summer! (最後の夏なんだもん!) is the sixth episode of the Hanebad! anime.

Miyako wants the badminton club to have new uniforms, as Nagisa doesn't think they should, while Riko does. Since Ayano joined the badminton club, it has changed the club's image. During practice Yu notices both Nagisa and Riko have changed. Erena saw Ayano staring at the whiteboard thinking about what Connie said, asking "Are you ok?" For the next preliminary badminton tournament, everyone has gotten the information on, who will they face. Yu asks whose Riko opponent is, and her name is Nozomi Ishizawa, an old middle school friend. Who was a semifinalist from last year's badminton tournament.

Nagisa wonders how Riko will win and she yells at Nagisa for not being like her. At the start of the high school single's badminton tournament, Miyako unexpectedly hands out the new uniforms. As everyone is doing their best. Until the match with Riko and Nozomi, Nozomi had the upper hand as Riko is doubting herself. When Nagisa reminds her and shouts "One More Time." She tries her hardest, when the match ends in Riko losing and Nozomi winning. Riko walks out of the gym, as Nagisa tries to cheer her up. Kaoruko gives Ayano a pink handkerchief. Surprisingly Uchika shows up at the badminton tournament.

Anime DifferencesEdit

  • Kentarou talking with Ayano at Uchika's badminton class and Erena and the others hearing about Ayano's past from Mashashii and Chiyoo is cut.
  • Because she isn't a badminton club manager in the anime, Noriko's appearances are cut, and Miyako uses Nagisa as a uniform model instead.
  • The anime adds the Kitakomachi members' training that was skipped in the manga.
  • Scenes focusing on Nagisa and Riko are added.
  • Nozomi and Kuraishi are introduced earlier in the anime. Also, Nozomi is from the same middle school as Nagisa and Riko in the anime, while she isn't in the manga.
  • Riko's first round opponent is changed to Nozomi; in the manga, they played each other in a quarter final match. Because of this, the stuff from Riko's match with her manga first round opponent is incorporated into the anime original match.
  • Viggo and his subordinates are cut.
  • Because Viggo and his exhibition match between Ayano and Lixiao is cut, Uchika appears at the preliminaries and asks the other Kitakomachi members about Ayano's match.
  • An extra round (3rd round) is added to the anime preliminaries and Ayano plays against a student from Kounan in said round. In the manga, Kaoruko is the first and only Kounan player she plays against.
